I am still so new to the blogging world. It is kind of fun!!! I was just looking for a cute pic of me to put on my profile and I found the pictures I took when I visited my parents in November. I had a great trip! I don't get to see my parents often enough, and it is rare that I visit without the fam.

I arrived on Thursday after the election. Mom picked me up at the Oakland airport, and we stopped by McD's for an ice cream cone. (I was probably trying to do WW pretty good that day, so I tried to keep it light. lol) We went to home Depot to get something to fix the blinds on her back door. At the checkout, the cute girl there said she could tell mom and I were sisters! That was cute. :)

We started our way out of Oakland and got a little lost trying to find a gas station. We found one, and the guy who worked there came out and filled the gas for Mom. Only in Oakland can you find someone to pump your gas for you.
We were going to stop in Sonoma to visit Dad at work, but since we took so long in OTown, we just ended up taking the scenic route to their new house in Santa Rosa. It is a cute neighborhood and a great house. I am sure they will be very happy there! (especially with that awesome Jacuzzi!)

I checked out the house and then got settled in the guest room. Sooo, I had been bummed out last spring when Mom told me she gave away my daybed. I was like

"wait... you gave MY bed away??? So, where am I supposed to lay my pretty head when I visit? Are you trying to tell me that you don't want me to visit??? Cause you KNOW I am not gonna sleep on the couch!"

Well, I had no reason to fear... Mom and Dad got a new bed and put their old one in the guest room. Sweeeet! I got the yummy king all to myself.

We had a tasty dinner of leftover cabbage ball soup. Oooohhh, that is one of my faves!!! (and since it was leftover... it was even better!!!!)

Friday Mom and I ran around Santa Rosa. She showed me the Dog shelter she wants to volunteer at, then we went to the Dollar Tree to try and find her super-cute green jacket she may have left there. We were both surprised when the cashier there returned it! Oh happy day! It was a darling jacket and Mom was thrilled to have it back!

We stopped by the nail shop to make appointments for mani's and pedi's that afternoon, and then we got some fro-yo at the Golden Spoon. We shopped for groceries, brought them home and went back out for more. Mom took me to JC Penney and got me the CUTEST wool coat!!! I totally love it!!! (it was on sale for 1/2 off!!!) Thanks Mom!!!

Then we went back to the nail shop and mom got a pink and white set on her fingers and I got a fabulous Mani Pedi. mmmmmm, nice!

That night we had delish chicken enchiladas, we checked out the spa and watched Friday night TV on the flat panel tv. Niiiiiiice. Snuggling up on the couch with the candy basket. Um, who knew I would love those Reisin chocolate caramels so much?
Off to the huge bed to rest up for the busy day on Sat.

Saturday morning we packed up and went to Becky's house for her open house thing. Her house is so cute and her friends were so nice and the Pampered Chef girl went nuts with awesome food! I bought the cutest beanies from a girl raising $ for Relay for Life. I got one for me and one for Kathy Marshall for Christmas. I hope she likes hers.
I sold some stuff and Becky's adorable daughter wants to join CTMH when she gets some moolah. Awesome!

We headed back to the house that afternoon and Mom got dinner ready. Dad had to work all day because something happened at work and his computer crashed or something and he had to try to re-create everything. Poor guy.
After dinner Mom took me to downtown Santa Rosa and we went to the Barnes an Noble to look for the 3rd Twilight book. Yay! They had it there! (I had been looking for it in So Cal for about a week and they were all sold out) Mom got herself the first book and LOVED it, and now she is hooked too.
Dad spoke in church. He did a great job. And, there were no protesters at their building in Santa Rosa, unlike at home with the kooks who thought it would be a great idea to picket our Yucca building.

We went back to the house and packed up and zipped to Oakland to drop me off at the airport. It was a super fun trip! :) Here are some pics.
