Everybody say "bye house!"

The inspector comes tomorrow and we can get the demo started. We went over to have a last look and take some "before" pics.

crazy!

It is such a strange feeling to see this and know that we lived in this house for 13 years. Dalin and Harry have never lived anywhere else. This is the only house they have ever known. So many memories were made here. I always imagined my "next house." I really didn't actually think we would really get a new house. I mean, I never thought we would ever get a NEW house! & I never imagined that I would ever see my cute blue house with the dormer windows get torn down.

The first time I ever saw this house, it was love at first site!

We were in escrow for a brand new house in Joshua Tree. Our budget was stretched very tight, and that house was going to be really tricky to pay for.

Luckily, my amazing MIL, Elly, took me for a drive one day. We were just driving around neighborhoods and we drove past this house and I just fell in love. I knew it was the perfect house for us. But I was just sure it would be more expensive than the one in JT that we were already signing contracts for.

I'm not really sure why, but we fell out of escrow for the first house, just a few days after we toured this house. Bonus! This house was 20k less than the first one! We got our deposit back and snapped this one up asap!

We had so many good times here. I am so looking forward to all the new memories we will make in our brand new house.
